Singularity containers: usage in sciCORE infrastructure (19H09002)

Beschreibung

Singularity containers are an alternative to Docker. They are better suited for HPC environments and can be used to package entire scientific workflows, software and libraries, and even data. This means that you don’t have to ask your cluster admin to install anything for you - you can put it in a Singularity container and run.”

This course will cover
1) an introductory part into what Singularity is and
2) an hands-on session about how to use Singularity in the sciCORE infrastructure; you can also bring your own project

Prerequisites: You need to bring your laptop with Virtualbox and Vagrant installed.
