    Ziele

Many researchers struggle to manage their time due to the unstructured nature of their profession and the rising fragmentation of work in general. An increasing number of tasks seems to require their immediate attention. Despite the best intentions and a well-planned schedule, it is often quite challenging to get things done. This workshop combines exercises to increase self-awareness, self-management and self-discipline with the help of simple, yet practical techniques. It will support young scientists to gain clarity and focus on their most important tasks, to establish healthy productive working habits and, ultimately, to lead a more productive life, by doing the right things at the right time.

    Kursinhalte

    During the workshop participants will
    - develop an increased awareness of how they are spending their time,
    - understand the time-energy-management nexus and the five aspects of impactful time management,
    - get crystal clear on their priorities and goals in order to focus on the right things,
    - learn how to realistically plan the time they have for their tasks,
    - get to know key practices for an efficient implementation of their plans and for conquering procrastination,
    - practice how to be flexible when new or high-priority opportunities arise, and
    - devise a hands-on action plan to practically improve their time management after the workshop.

    Form

The methodology is based on the pioneering Co-active® Coaching and training model combining a variety of experiential learning and leadership training techniques. They include individual exercises, as well as activities in groups of varying size.
Participants will be challenged and, at the same time, supported to step outside their comfort zone to gain new insights. They will go back and forth between learning about the theoretical background, the practical application of the new techniques, and a reflection about the impact they can make.
We create a uniquely open and trustful atmosphere in our workshops, where participants openly share their experiences, learn from their colleauges, and support each other in a benevolent manner.
Due to the interactive character of the workshop and the fact that the exercises build on each other, we require participants to be present for the entire period of event.
