Ziele
This comprehensive workshop offers practice-oriented approaches to visual communication for doctoral candidates and postdocs from all disciplines. In collaboration with a professional illustrator/designer, you will develop design skills to expand your professional portfolio. You get to know a large variety of free online tools for your further design journey.
Kursinhalte
In the theoretical part of the first morning, you will learn which components are needed to create a visually appealing scientific poster and a PowerPoint presentation and how to use typography, colors, graphs, and pictures to your advantage.
In the practical part in the afternoon, you will dive into other participants' research and develop Key Visuals for each other.
The agenda for the second day's morning includes presentations and receiving feedback on your posters, PowerPoint slides, and Key Visuals. In the afternoon, you'll have time to implement the input and discuss any questions or difficulties you encounter with the instructor.
