We all have unconscious biases or so-called prejudices. They support us in making quick decisions, but they also influence our ability to decide rationally and fairly. Unconscious Biases can lead to undesirable side effects in recruitment situations and assessments. The better you know your own patterns, the more objectively you assess applicants.

    During the half-day workshop with Prof. Dr. Gudrun Sander, you will gain insight into how diversity and so-called Unconscious Biases are connected, which types of biases play a role in search committees and how you can track down your own patterns. During the workshop, you will receive simple but effective recommendations on how to deal with Unconscious Biases in search committees.

    Prof. Dr. Gudrun Sander is Adjunct Professor for Business Administration with a special emphasis on Diversity Management, co-director of the Research Center for International Management and director of the Competence Center for Diversity and Inclusion CCDI at the University of St. Gallen. She has been working with organizations in the field of women's advancement, diversity & inclusion, equal opportunity, etc. for more than 25 years and is the author of numerous articles and books.
