    As a group of peers you get to know a method with which you can generate ingenious solutions to support each other in dealing with the various challenges of conducting your research project while teaching and participating in the University’s administration. You get to know – and to test – a set of 9 steps along which you will be able to conduct regular, structured sessions of peer coaching independently to generate fresh ideas and design the next steps in your plan of action.

    • Experience the method’s scope first hand

    • Set up and kick off your own group for regular peer coaching sessions.

    • Individual and group work preparing peer exchange

    • One first peer coaching session.

    Target Group

    Doctoral Candidates & Postdocs


    This course is designed for groups of doctoral candidates and postdocs of all faculties, who want to engage in committed peer coaching groups. For a peer coaching group, a minimum of 4 committed members is required, 6 members are ideal, the group should not be bigger than 8 members. Mixed groups of doctoral candidates and Postdocs are possible. You can participate individually in this course to get an idea of the method and set up your own peer coaching group later.

    About the Trainer

    Preliminary work: 0 hrs. Lessons: 4.5 hrs. Follow-up: committed attendance in regular peer coaching sessions of 2 to 3 hrs once every month/ six weeks with your own peer coaching group.


    This course is organized by the Department Training and Development and free of charge.

    Registrations will be processed according on a “first come, first served” principle. The course registration will be confirmed by email. The registration to a course makes the participation in the full training mandatory. A course can be cancelled up to five working days before its scheduled date (send an email to Participants failed to attend a course for which they registered, remaining absent form a course without an excuse or cancel less than five working days in advance will be excluded from the transferable skills programme for the following semester.
