    Day 1:
    Theory about current developments, chances & challenges with focus on the SNSF, overview funding possibilities in respect of academic level and career aims; plan, concept, write a convincing grant proposal incl. all relevant application items

    Day 2:
    Presentation of the application draft, discussion within the group, individual feedback by the trainer


    The aim of this workshop is to make the participants fit for own third-party funding applications as main applicant.


    Theory and practical exercises: Self-Positioning, day1/day2 intermediate exercises: draft of a certain application document

    Advanced PhD candidates & Postdocs max. 6yrs after PhD

    About the Trainer

    Susanne Matuschek: More than 15 years expert on research career development in academia, hereof e.g. 8 years as head of two funding instruments in the Career Division of the Swiss National Science Foundation and chair of European working groups on "Research Careers in Europe". Since 2010 Susanne Matuschek leads her own company in that field.


    1.5 days’ workshop: WS day 1: 09.00-17.00, WS day 2: 13.00-17.00


    Registrations will be processed according on a “first come, first served” principle. The course registration will be confirmed by email. The registration to a course makes the participation in the full training mandatory. For this workshop unexcused absence and cancellation of the workshop after the registration deadline leads to a penalty fee of CHF 30.00.
