- Organized by
After taking this course you will know how to make your project known and accepted by a large organization, far beyond the project team or your direct environment. You will be able to implement successfully a well-proven communication model, which addresses your stakeholders’ needs in a most effective way and balances out minimal effort against maximal results.
Though originally developed for complex business projects in global, multi-functional and -cultural organizations, the communication model in focus can apply to a much wider range of initiatives and tasks, including personal endeavors, e.g. planning your next career step.
Real-life business requires a lean approach focusing on steps essential to make the project and its deliverables known to the organization. If necessary, these steps can be expanded for any further identified needs.
This course takes you through all project phases, addressing such communication modules as the purpose, to whom you should communicate or what channels to use.
You will know which communication steps are of key importance and how they are interlinked. Further, you will learn how the communication focus moves forward depending on the maturity of your initiative.
The communication model in focus is based on and compliant with the well-established project management methodology (PMM), widely used in the industry for business and IT projects. The PMM effectively guides project managers, team members and stakeholders through all project activities. The communication steps in focus are complementary to the PMM activities and documentation.
The PMM knowledge is beneficial, but not required for this course.
Doctoral Candidates & Postdocs
Though no special preparation is required, participants should think prior to the course about a situation when they need to communicate to their business or private environment, trying to anticipate what difficulties they might experience.
