Leadership Basics (25H01002)

Aims

What are the leadership tasks and responsibilities in the management of a Swiss University? The focus will be on models along which to reflect on a variety of leadership styles, and tools to assertively communicate with team members and other faculty and staff. Participants will swiftly identify conflicts and have adequate tools to deal with them constructively.

Target Group

All international members of staff and faculty with managerial and/or supervising duties, working in English

Feature

Leadership and management in higher education / Can be credited towards Educational Development Unit's higher education teaching certificates.

This course is the English version of «Grundlagen der Führung». The course is held in English and is intended for international participants. Native German speakers are kindly requested to wait for the next German course.

The course consists of three full days. Due to the postponement of Day 1 (originally planned for 28 October), the course sessions will take place as follows:
