    Aims

    Attendants know how to create a positive personal effect when having a presentation and how to bring over the key message properly.

    Content

    • How to create your best effect – verbal, paraverbal, nonverbal

    • The contact bridge: how to get in contact with your audience

    • You never get a second chance to make a first impression: how to guarantee a good one

    • The body speaks as well: presence on stage

    • Free speech: get to the point in one minute

    • How to define complex issues in a simple way

    • The relevance of beginning and end

    • How to handle power point reasonably: less is more

    • How to handle killerphrases, difficult situations and problems in general

    • How to prepare yourself for energy, voice and against stage fear

    • How to bring yourself in a good condition: Heart – Body – Brain

    About the Trainer

    Sibylle Sommerer, Dipl. Communicator and Journalist FH, Coach BSO in Supervision and Organisational Consulting. Sibylle Sommerer has been working in communication since 1992. She works as a Personal Performance Coach and Media Trainer for leaders in economy and politics and as an instructor at various universities and the ETH Zürich.

    Workload

    1 ECTS / 25 h -> Preliminary work 3.5 h, lessons 18 h, follow up work 3.5 h. 1 ECTS corresponds to appr. 25 - 30 h student work.

    Feature

    Registrations will be processed according on a “first come, first served” principle. The course registration will be confirmed by email. The registration to a course makes the participation in the full training mandatory. A course can be cancelled up to five working days before its scheduled date (send an email to grace@unibas.ch). Participants failed to attend a course for which they registered, remaining absent form a course without an excuse or cancel less than five working days in advance will be excluded from the transferable skills programme for the following semester.
