    Content

Tools based on (generative) artificial intelligence to generate text, images or code, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Mistral or Consensus, are increasingly used by students and research staff. But how should one handle this content correctly to meet the standards of academic integrity? The University of Basel’s guide “Citing AI tools" provides guidance on how the use of AI tools can be acknowledged in academic work.

This short Coffee Lecture will cover
    • where to find the guide,
    • what topics it covers,
    • what to bear in mind when using AI and applying the guide.

Students, lecturers and staff from student advisory services and libraries, as well as anyone interested in teaching and academic writing.
