Aims
Through a set of three writing retreats, you will make meaningful progress on a writing project and enhance your writing process and results through short inputs, consultations, and peer feedback.
Content
Each day will start with an optional short input session by the instructors on the following topics:
- Giving developmental feedback to peers.
- Using linking devices in different types of discourse (description, narrative, and argument).
- Smoothing, revising, and restructuring your writing with LLMs.
After the input session, you will have structured time to write in a distraction-free environment. Breaks will provide time for coffee, conversation, and walks. While writing, you will also have the opportunity to consult a writing coach about your individual questions.
Methods
- Three structured writing retreats in a distraction-free environment.
- Input on peer feedback, linking devices, and revising with AI.
- Optional individual coaching.
Target Group

Course places/places on the waiting list will be confirmed by e-mail. Course registrations can only be canceled before the registration period ends (send an e-mail to grace@unibas.ch). Full course attendance is mandatory. Participants who fail to attend a course without prior notification or withdraw after the registration deadline are subject to a fee of CHF 30. In addition, participants who cancel their course registration at a later point in time, are absent without an excuse or do not attend the entire course will, for reasons of fairness, not be considered for course registration in the following semester and will be removed from other courses offered in the same semester.
