Aims
This comprehensive workshop offers practice-oriented approaches to visual communication for doctoral candidates and postdocs from all disciplines. In collaboration with a professional illustrator/designer, you will develop design skills to expand your professional portfolio. You get to know a large variety of free online tools for your further design journey.
Content
In the theoretical part of the first morning, you will learn which components are needed to create a visually appealing scientific poster and a PowerPoint presentation. In the practical part in the afternoon, you will dive into other participants' research and develop Key Visuals for each other.
On the second day, you will present your poster and revised Key Visual and receive feedback from other participants and the course instructor. In the afternoon, you will get the opportunity to implement the feedback from the morning and to discuss further questions with the course instructor when needed.
