Aims
– faster reading speed
– better text comprehension
– variation of different reading techniques, strategies and intensities
– higher concentration & motivation
– special techniques for reading scientific texts
Content
This “hybrid” training is based upon our regular two day classroom training, and consists of ca. 10h of individual online training (accompanied by a personal coach) and three group webinars (5h in sum).
The online training is focused on improving your eye movements – reading a text faster, yet still comprehensively and with a good (often better) understanding. In the webinars we give special advice for the efficient reading of scientific texts, including memory retention, marking and note-taking. In the webinars you can also provide your own text examples for individual reading advice.
Additionally you can make use of (voluntary) training options beyond the course.
Methods
– Training of eye movements
– Cognitive reading training
– Discussion of text examples
Target Group
All Doctoral Candidates & Postdocs
Requirements
Computer with internet, download of webinar software (zoom)
