SwissUniversities, to which the University of Basel belongs, has established Read & Publish agreements with major academic publishers. This means that, in addition to continuing access to journal articles from many publishers, such as Elsevier, researchers can now also publish Open Access at no additional cost. The event will inform you about what you need to consider and which journals offer the possibility of free Open Access publishing.
